Deron Williams believe that Linsanity all started against him.
And with that motivation he was sure to come firing out the next time they meet. And that day couldn't come at a better time. Last night the New York Knicks and the New Jersey Nets squared off once again. But this time around their teams were boosted by the return of some marquee players. Brooks and Lopez for the Nets and then Anthony and Davis for the Knicks.
So what happened in the match? Well I was not able to watch the whole game as I was busy trying to accomplish my custom essay writing assignment. It was due the day after and I had to finish the essay immediately. But I was still able to watch the second half up to the end of the game. The Nets won the game, 100 - 92, as Williams was firing on all cylinders when I got hooked. He scored a total of 18 points in the third quarter alone. The PG finished with 38 points on 10 for 22 shooting with 8 of those field goals coming from the three-point line. He was supported by Brooks with 18 and Humphries with 14. Jeremy Lin on the other hand finished with 21 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 3 turnovers. All the rest of the starters also finished in double digits but the Anthony just came in and made 11 points in his debut.
I guess it was payback time for Williams. Still I think the Knicks will only get better in the next few games as Anthony begins to integrate himself in the offense more. This Knicks team with its current lineup can be as good as a third seed if they can get it all together.
Notes: Baron Davis only scored 3 points in 9 minutes of action. Iman Shumpert was sidelined because of a knee injury and will be re-evaluated after the All - Star Break. Brook Lopez didn't play as part of the Nets plan to slowly integrate him to their schemes.
